When we needed to train our staff, I turned to David to deliver this for us. He understands the key issues of what we are trying to achieve and then is able to effectively translate this in to a course. What has always impressed me with David is his ability to tackle the keys issues head on. Inevitability some people think training is not important or they don’t need it, David is able to bring these people around very quickly and gain full engagement of all participants. All of the sessions were mapped out in advance from our planning conversations and presented clearly in our own series of booklets. David takes time to understand the business, the environment we’re working in and the current market conditions, as well as any specific challenges facing us at the time of training. We discuss what we want the teams to learn and take away from the day, whether it be a broad set of skills, or something very specific that we are working on as a business. David uses pre-course questionnaires to gather specific examples from the delegates related to their roles, so that the training feels very personal and each delegate can relate to case studies presented. This also means that we can address real life problems, and delegates can take away practical solutions for something they might be experiencing there and then.
The training is delivered in a relaxed and inclusive style, which encourages everyone to participate. We find that even new team members feel confident enough to contribute and get involved; the relaxed training style in turn allows all delegates to relax and feel comfortable too. The language used is down to earth, no jargon, meaning that everyone can relate easily to themes and ideas being discussed. David is extremely knowledgeable, and is able to share that knowledge in a way that everyone can access. We cannot recommend The People Animators highly enough – you won’t be disappointed!
