Handling Difficult Conversations and Giving Effective Feedback
Being an effective manager and a good communicator is all very well and good when things are going well, but, what happens when difficult situations occur and conversations need to be had? This is when our true skills are really tested to ensure difficult situations and conflict are resolved quickly and effectively. If difficult situations are not dealt with efficiently and effectively they tend to escalate and cause even more problems, which spread and resolving them often involves a lot of pain and ill feeling.
This course sets out to show mangers how to prevent difficult situations from happening and if they do how to resolve them quickly to the benefit of all concerned. Case studies and real examples will be used to illustrate the key learning points so the participants can effectively transfer what they have learnt straight back into the work environment.
Motivating without the Cheque Book
This two and half hour interactive and entertaining session will challenge traditional thinking on what motivates people in the working environment today. The session is ideal to engage managers at all levels in the need to develop their people and create the right culture in their businesses for people to achieve more.

Aspiring Managers
This course is to provide aspiring managers with the fundamental skills and confidence to effectively manage themselves and their future team members to produce personal and organisational objectives.

Appraisals (Developing People all Year Round)
This course is for managers and team leaders to maximise the effectiveness of the performance management tool ‘The Appraisal Process’, from the yearly ritual of a form filling exercise to a productive and worthwhile process to maximise the potential and performance of team members.
This course will show Appraiser’s the real benefit of such appraisal processes which in turn will enable them to become more effective as managers in achieving their ever increasing targets.
Sessions can also be run for team members ‘How to get the best out of your appraisal’.

Change Management in Challenging Times
To provide managers with the core management skills to enable their organisation to continue its progressive move forward in times of change and uncertainty.
This course will give the managers the skills and confidence to effectively manage their teams to produce organisational objectives in times of change.
Change needs to be managed in a planned, intelligent and sensitive way by managers. Managers must be able to explain convincingly what is needed and why, manage change successfully so that they, their staff and the organisation can move forward.

If most managers are honest this is their biggest Achilles heel, delegating and letting go. Perhaps the most underrated and under used skill in management. Most team members would claim that they don’t get enough feedback and would like more.
This programme will help managers to deliver feedback effectively, sensitively and timely. The programme will look at the difference between ‘Praise and Feedback’ plus the only thing you can give feedback on!! Also, how to take personality issues out of the feedback process.
Recruitment Interviewing (Right Person Right Job)
Selecting the ‘right person’ for the ‘right job’ is the key to successful recruitment. When looking to fill a vacancy, recruiters must carefully consider the skills and competencies required for each role. From examining job descriptions and person specifications through to the selection interview itself – the course participants will be encouraged to consider legal and best practice throughout.
This course demonstrates a structured competency based approach to ensure the participants recruit the right person first time. When the competition for jobs has never been higher skills in recruiting the right person has never been more important.
Creative ideas to choose the right person will be looked at to challenge job candidates to demonstrate the competencies and skills. Highly participative, delegates will have the opportunity to put the learning into practise and personal video recordings will be given to delegates to refer to following the course.
Team Building - Animating Team Performance
This course enables managers to develop their existing skills and learn new ones to animate their teams into action, which will lead to improved performance and enable their team to achieve their goals.

Believe it or not there is no such thing as ‘difficult people’.
'What?!' I hear you say, 'well try and sort out my lot!'. We will, and more importantly show you how to manage your own so called ‘difficult people’. This will be done by using a series of management styles, analysing your own behaviour as well as theirs along with coaching and motivational techniques.
The programme will also look at what we know about the individuals motivating values and how to ask effective but challenging questions to build awareness and responsibility.
Yes there is no such thing as difficult people only that we have not learnt how to communicate with them correctly.

Along with motivation, conversation, goal setting and feedback techniques team managers never need dread a one to one, plus nor the team member.
Managing Team Meetings
A very creative programme to generate effective and enjoyable team meetings that achieve the right impact. Packed with loads of ideas and tips to generate worthwhile meetings that achieve the desired outcomes. Activities include team awareness, goal setting, team spirit, understanding, providing and giving information.
Motivation skills (Motivating Others to Peak Performance)
To provide the participants with the skills in identifying key motivating factors in people and in-turn to motivate individuals and teams in improving performance and results.
This course will provide managers and team leaders with the skills to animate their people into action and improved performance. This will be done by giving managers the tools to build working relationships, understand their team members and INSPIRE their team members to want to achieve more.
The programme will look at work and life motivation plus how to understand what actually motivates individuals (which does surprise most managers). As the cheque book is very rarely available to be used as a way of incentivising and motivating people a new creative ways will be looked at to inspire and motivate people.
