I have always used the following phrase in business:
‘Ask great questions and then do something equally great with the answers’
Whether you are in sales, management, consultancy, architecture, production, finance or any other role, make sure you ask great questions and be inquisitive.
The people who ask the best questions will get the best information and therefore, can create the best ideas and solutions.
It’s a Win/Win, as people love it when you show an interest in them.
So what questions should we ask? Well there are six simple key words:
What?
Why?
When?
Where?
Who?
How?
Place these words into your vocabulary and off you go. Practice them and use them wisely.
You can find out so much more and remember, people are flattered when interest is shown in them. As I say Win/ Win.
